For the safety & continued enjoyment of Club members, the Chillie Running Club has adopted a Code of Conduct to which all members, by agreeing to join the Club and continuing to be a member of it, are obliged to comply with.

The components of the Club’s Code of Conduct are outlined below and may be amended by the Club’s EXCO, at its discretion from time to time. Any change in the Code of Conduct shall be communicated to the club’s members by e-mail or WhatsApp whereuponthe code, as amended, shall come into force with immediate effect.

1. Members should avoid offending, participating in serious disputes and disrupting behaviour that may bring the club’s name and image into disrepute.

4. Members are expected to be ethical and responsible when dealing with the club’s finances, assets and brand.
5. Members should wear the official club colours as registered with Border (BORA), Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) and/orKZN-Athletics (KNZA), at all Athletics South Africa (ASA) & its affiliated bodies’ sanctioned races with the current licencedisplayed on both the front and back of the club vest. The license should always be displayed according to ASA rules.
6. Club running attire can only be purchased via club procurement No member is allowed to use Chillie Running Club logo/emblem without the EXCO’s approval.
7. Members should obey the instructions of race marshals and traffic officials, be respectful to members of other running clubs and the general public.
8. During club’s events, races, functions and meetings and whenever club members appear in a representative capacity for theclub whether it is at official races or elsewhere, members are expected to conduct themselves in such a manner so as to not bring the club or its members into disrepute or otherwise causeembarrassment to the club, its members or affiliates.
9. All members should respect their fellow club Any kind of discriminatory behaviour, harassment, victimisation,intimidation, violence or abuse of any club member is not allowed. If any member feels aggrieved, the aggrieved member can lodge a complaint/ grievance to the EXCO.
10. All announcements required by members regarding the Chillie Running Club must be consulted with EXCO for Thisincludes all training runs which are not organized by the coaching team. All club official announcements must be forwarded to the club’s Official Chillie Running Club WhatsApp chat group.
11. Comments made on club’s social media pages; Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram; should not be abusive, offensive orderogatory and that if they are, the administrators reserve the right to delete these types of postings and exclude the author.The club recognises that many runners make use of social media in a personal While they are not acting on behalf of the club, members must be aware that they could risk damaging the club’s reputation if their message is not appropriate. Allmembers are therefore requested to ensure that they continue to recognise and respect this.
12. The club has 2 National WhatsApp One is for official club announcements and the other, known as Reloaded, is formembers to freely engage each other on running and non- running healthy living related topics. Different provinces (KZNA,CGA and BORA) also have their own provincial WhatsApp groups to allow their members to discuss and engage on their own running related matters.
